Anomalisa is a stop-motion animated adult romantic drama about Michael Stone, a customer service expert who is struggling with the mundanity of his life and feels disconnected from the world. He travels to Cincinnati for a business trip and checks into a hotel. There, he meets an extraordinary woman named Lisa who helps him to reconnect with his emotions and to overcome his emotional detachment. Michael and Lisa’s relationship grows and they eventually fall in love. However, Lisa has a secret that could tear them apart. In the end, Michael is forced to make a difficult choice and decides to stay with Lisa despite her secret.
