Diablo is the story of a psychologically scarred civil war veteran, turned mass murderer, on a quest to find the woman he kidnapped in hopes of making her his wife. After she is rescued by her brothers and husband, Diablo is left with a dualistic personality, one of a sorrowful veteran, the other of a violent murderer. As the story progresses, the veteran persona gradually dissipates as the murderer's influence takes hold. Diablo continues his search, murdering nearly everyone who stands in his way, until he finally finds the woman he was after.
